The staff were efficient and helpful, and breakfast was simple but enough, with a self-service spread of Italian and international basics from cappuccino and brioche to cheese and ham. I spent a few days in a very small room, with an even tinier bathroom. The room was clean and practical, the mattress was in good shape, and there were two pillows to choose from. Alagna has plenty to do outdoors, so the room size wasn’t the main thing for me. Most rooms face the church. Its bells ring around the clock on the half hour, and the 7 am ringing is the full melody, so there’s no need to set an alarm. The view is lovely, but light sleepers should keep the bells in mind. Nightlife is in the square below the hotel and thankfully winds down by 23:30. It’s convenient to be close, but early hikers may not enjoy other guests returning and chatting loudly in the corridors and rooms. Sound insulation is fairly poor, though the experience depends more on the other guests than the building itself.

Manuela, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful. This family-run hotel is close to the ski lift, with fresh, clean rooms and a good breakfast overlooking the mountains. Strongly recommended!

Clean, pleasant rooms and a nice breakfast, plus the staff were helpful with all our questions. The service was very good, and the location is right in the center. A perfect place to stay in Alagna. I’d highly recommend it.

The hotel was spotless, and the breakfasts had a great range, including cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, coffee and fruit juices. I stayed here for a few nights on half board a few years ago with a Guide from Zermatt and another couple. The food was really good, all cooked fresh, full of flavour and very tasty. The desserts were especially nice, and more than once they made one fresh after we ordered. The owner and the young women looking after us in the restaurant gave fabulous service. They could cook and bake, and made the most amazing desserts. Thoroughly recommended!
