The restaurant is a real plus, with fresh, tasty Ligurian and international food, a varied breakfast, and good comments from other guests. The staff are usually helpful and polite, which gives the place a welcoming, familiar feel. Hotel Mignon is only a short walk from the sea and Alassio's famous Budello, so we could get around and reach the beach without transport. Our room was clean and comfortable, with the essentials like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom. Some rooms have been renovated and are bright. The furnishings and soundproofing can feel dated, as you might expect from a 2-star hotel, but it worked well for a short visit or summer beach holiday, and the location and price were good.

The food alone would earn Hotel Mignon five stars from me. My husband and I were in Alassio for a couple of days, and we loved the cooking, especially the desserts and Baci di Alassio biscuits. The place was clean and well located, the staff were friendly, and both owners were lovely. Some of it is a little dated, but the cuisine more than made up for that.
