Hotel Tirreno

The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, and the family owners were very welcoming and eager to support us in having a positive holiday. We'll be back as soon as possible.

I stayed here as a kid. I hope it's still great.

Everything in the room was spotless and worked properly, which felt right for a 3-star hotel. The breakfast buffet was good, and there’s a private beach too. The staff were extremely friendly, and the owners were always around with suggestions for things to do nearby. Hotel Tirreno is in a great spot in Alassio. I’ll stay here again when I’m back.

My balcony faced east, so the sun came straight through the white shutters and curtains at dawn. I suggested adding blackout curtains. The room also had a side view of the sea. The owners, Mr. Federico, his wife, and all the staff were especially kind and attentive after I had an accident just a few hours after arriving in Alassio, and I want to thank them again. My room’s air conditioning did give me trouble, but it was sorted after several attempts. The hotel is simple, clean, and very well kept, with an elevator and air conditioning. Breakfast is included even on a room-only stay: it’s a buffet in a bright, spacious first-floor room with a lovely sea view. Soy and almond milk are available for vegans or people with allergies. There’s a little gym and reading room on the same floor. The hotel’s beach club is right outside the main entrance, though it’s small and basic; other beach clubs are available if you want more facilities. The hotel sits on one of Alassio’s main seafront promenades, in a quieter, less crowded stretch with bars and restaurants nearby. The mostly pedestrian street allows cars for loading and unloading luggage at set times, as long as you give them your license plate number. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. The rate I got was a real bargain for the location and what’s offered. For more information, see the photos I posted.
