Lucky Luciano was always available and very professional, and our five-person group had a perfect 4x4 room with a view of the tracks. The hostel was fantastic. I took off a star because the girls in the next room didn't come out with us. What a shame.

The location works well, just A3" from the station, and the trains don't bother me. The building has been renovated from the station master's and railway workers' quarters. It's a few hundred meters from Villa Rosa, a little farther from the wonderful seafront and Spiaggie d'Argento, Verde. Poste Italiane spa is 40 meters away, while Ristor Giulia, known for exceptional arrosticini and seafood, is 130 meters away. I hope the best restaurant in Alba, the lighthouse, reopens. There’s a lot to like here, including cleanliness, comfort, the solarium, greenery, common areas and friendly people. My rating is only good because breakfast was removed, and the bar arrangement is a poor solution. I hope they add a self-service breakfast, with coffee, dek, sugar sachets, milk from Sterilgarda spa or supermarkets like Crai, Selex, Premium and Conad. Sterilgarda soc per azioni makes economical, 100% Italian milk. They could also offer individually packed rusks like Mulino Bianco Barilla spa or grissin bon spa, Tonon biscuits, o crick spa, delser spa, and some classic cream croissants.

Good value, a homely feel, and the chance to meet new people. I also liked being able to come and go on my own schedule, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it for a simple seaside break.
