The bill at checkout turned a hotel I would have happily used again into one I wouldn’t return to. I’m an Accor Gold member, and when I asked whether that meant breakfast was included, the agent told me breakfast came with our stay anyway. At checkout, my wife was told it wasn’t included. They acknowledged their employee had given us wrong information, but still charged us 80 Euros for two nights, or 40 per day, calling the partial charge goodwill. We don’t eat breakfast and wouldn’t have paid for it. The front desk manager refused to change the charge, and nobody apologized. That feels like cheating after admitting the mistake. The breakfast wasn’t remotely worth 40, and the hotel should refund the E 80. The building itself is new, modern, and very well located. Our room was small but comfortable, with good storage. Breakfast staff were fantastic and the front desk was mostly friendly until checkout. The hotel also seems to cut corners on basics: no tissues in the room, and staff said they didn’t have any. There were no washcloths, only hand and bath towels, and again we were told they didn’t have them. For a four-star hotel, that’s crazy. Other missing items included cotton balls, makeup removers, and shaving or dental kits.

The staff made our family’s visit memorable. They were friendly throughout and even found a spot where I could set up and store my bike, so I could use it to explore Alba and the surrounding area each day. The hotel is close to the city center, and the recently renovated rooms were attractive and well maintained. I especially liked the Juliet balcony and windows that open in two ways. It feels like the owners and designers put real thought into making a stay memorable.

Opened in Spring 2025 in Alba’s historic center, so everything still looks clean and shiny. The rooms are spacious and do a good job of keeping out noise. It has the feel of a modern business hotel, and the staff are polite and friendly.

The gym is modest, but it did the job, with two recent-model treadmills and weights. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was really good. Just note that pancakes or omelettes cost extra on top of the regular breakfast price. We also liked the cozy room, the convenient location, and the very nice staff. A 10/10 stay, would recommend!

We stayed August 16-20, and on our last evening we chose drinks at the hotel bar over going out. The bartender had been so warm with us before that we wanted to spend time with them again. The reception and waitstaff alone are enough to recommend this place, they’re extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was refreshed carefully each day, and both the room and amenities are beautiful and modern. The bath products smell lovely. Breakfast was fresh, with lots of protein, cereal, pastries, and drinks to choose from.
