La Cascina di Carlotta

Fausto suggested we rent their e-bikes on our second day and do the wine tour. Such a good experience, with welcoming people and sunshine too. We were staying in a bungalow for the last part of our holiday and wished we’d booked longer. The place sits between Barolo and Alba, and we were lucky to catch Alba’s festival and try lots of local goods. Breakfast was outstanding, with most of what they serve made by the hosts. Their hazelnut and chocolate spreads are to die for. I’d definitely recommend Fausto and Carlotta’s family home if you want to stay in this region.

Fausto and Carlotta were so accommodating, and the landscaping is beautiful. The rooms have plenty of charm too. Staying here feels like a real treat. We’re already planning more visits, and this was our first.

Fausto and his family are gracious hosts, and he was a huge help with recommendations and reservations. The place was perfect for us. We also enjoyed the pool as a spot to relax, and electric bikes are available.

The pool, bar, and electric bikes we rented were all great, and the rooms and facilities were spotless and thoughtfully presented. The setting near the Barolo wine region and Alba town centre is both lovely and convenient. What I’ll remember most, though, is how Fausto helped when our electric car rental fell through. The hire company wouldn’t assist us, and we were stuck. Within a couple of hours Fausto had organized another rental car. That let us get to a wedding without stress, and took a huge weight off us. We’re very grateful for how quickly and kindly he handled it. From the moment we arrived, Fausto and his wife made us feel welcome. He gave us restaurant tips and even booked a table for us. They were warm, attentive, and accommodating throughout. I’m sure we’ll return to La Cascina di Carlotta. Our stay between 28/7 - 31/7 was a lovely experience, thanks to Fausto, his wife, and the whole team.
