The hosts were attentive, available, and open-minded, and breakfast was plentiful and just right. We had a great three-night stay, and were glad we chose Villamir over a hotel. It’s 10 minutes by car from the center of Albenga. The room has its own outside entrance and there’s secure parking. There’s no air conditioning, but two fans made that manageable. The apartments are very spacious and have kitchens, so they seem well suited to longer stays. The owners are really welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast is nice and continental, with the must-have focaccia for filling with cured meats, a wide choice of pastries from a local bakery, and cakes made by Michele. I loved how dark the room could get. It was very clean, with comfy beds and fluffy towels, and the little garden pool was a nice place to relax. I would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room. There’s a kitchen available, but an electric kettle would make a quick cup easier.

A very friendly, enthusiastic couple who really care about your stay at their B&B. The beach is nearby, though you’ll want to go by car. There’s parking inside their property, behind a gate.

The room wasn’t cleaned at all during our seven-night stay. The night we couldn’t get in, the hosts couldn’t be reached on the emergency mobile number they’d given us. I also had health and safety concerns about the fan in the room.

The rooms were spotless and clearly looked after with real care. Michele was so kind and polite, always around when we needed him and attentive to his guests. We had a wonderful stay at B&B Villa Amir, you can tell how much passion and attention to detail go into the place. We’d happily come back and recommend it.
