I felt very comfortable here as a solo female traveller, thanks to the lovely staff. The accommodation was very dog friendly, and I stayed twice, both times at the last minute. They had space for me each time. My room had an ensuite bathroom with good water pressure and reliably warm water, and there was an equipped shared kitchen. Rooms facing the street can be a little noisy, but for this price and location, I don’t think you can beat it. Thanks for having me :)

There’s a bus stop right in front of the hostel, which is handy. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and the owner greeted us warmly and was very polite. We had a really nice stay and would definitely return if we come back to Rome.

The owner called my personal phone several times within hours of my posting an honest negative review. I answered the first call and was yelled at, then lightly threatened that I should "learn" not to write negative reviews. The host is a wannabe gangster. You can see what I mean about the yelling in their response to this review. My original complaint was about the lack of air conditioning. The way the property is advertised gives the impression it has AC, and the Google amenity list currently says all rooms have it. That’s false. No rooms have AC. The room also smelled bad, and the towels were crusty and didn’t seem to have been washed. With dirty towels, a stinky room, heat and humidity that made it hard to sleep, and a small time hooligan running the place, I can’t recommend it. You’re on vacation, so don’t do this to yourself. One last thing: after staying here, I read a lot of the Google and Booking.com reviews, and they seem fake to me. If you’re inclined to dismiss my experience because of all the glowing reviews, I’d advise against it.

It’s extremely close to the metro, and San Giovanni Basilica and the colosseum are an easy walk away. For the price, the location and value are amazing, and we’ll definitely stay again. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for the two of us. The bathroom was clean and functional, and we rarely crossed paths with other guests. The host was incredibly friendly, spoke very good English, and made us feel right at home.
