Trullo Zia Nina

Giuseppe was there to greet us and even saved a parking spot. The trullo had everything we needed, and the owners were so helpful. It was spotless, the beds were really comfortable, and the linens smelled lovely. Even with a rainy weekend, we stayed cozy because the heating was already on when we arrived and kept running the whole time. It’s such a quiet, peaceful spot, just a few minutes from the city center. We stayed in Aunt Nina's trullo this weekend and will be back soon. Thanks so much for everything!

We really enjoyed our three nights here as a family of three. The owner was kind and helpful, and the trullo was tastefully furnished in keeping with local style and tradition. It’s close to the center of Alberobello and Trullo Sovrano. The town is very clean and quiet, and can feel almost like a fairytale. There’s no TV, which we appreciated since you can do without one on vacation, and the area was beautiful enough to keep us busy. One small downside: some of the bed frames are a bit noisy, and I’d suggest replacing them.

A very beautiful, clean, well-equipped trullo right in the center of Alberobello, with several restaurants nearby. It can accommodate five, with one double bed and three singles. Free Wi-Fi too. Truly top notch, highly recommended.

The little issues are why I’m giving it four stars rather than five, though the price seemed competitive with other places I looked at and fair for what it offers. The trullo is in one of the quietest parts of Alberobello, yet only about a four-minute walk from the center. A bakery and pastry shop are just steps away, and supermarkets are four minutes by car. Inside, it’s more spacious than the photos suggest, with traditional furnishings. There’s a large living room with a dining table and a sofa that can serve as a bed for one person. The TV has Netflix and some live channels, including Rai. From there you reach two comfortable, equipped bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles. The double room has a wardrobe, but it only fits two people, so the twin room could use a chest of drawers or some other storage. The kitchen has been moved and is fully equipped. The bathroom is large, but its high, closed window means it could use a fan or an opening window. We also found that the shower leaks a little after use. The trullo experience was really special. If you want to stay in a trullo in Alberobello and also visit the beach for a few days, I’d recommend Trullo Zia Nina. In Castellana Grotte, I’d suggest trying the dairy products at Sapori del Latte and the focaccia barese at Panificio Fragranze. Both were authentic and delicious.
