We had a great family holiday here, and the location was just right. We’ll be back!

The apartment was a bitter disappointment compared with what we expected from the Booking.com photos and reviews. We’d been looking forward to our June 2025 stay, but after arriving we decided not to stay at all. The landlord had left the key under the doormat despite our prior arrangements. Inside, there was a strong unpleasant smell, and the furnishings looked outdated and nothing like the booking-site photos. The kitchen seemed neglected too: some dishes were dirty, and the toaster, microwave, and other appliances felt unhygienic. In the bedroom, we found moths in the curtains. The whole place came across as unkempt, and it immediately put a damper on our holiday. We left the key under the mat again and went away. The landlord offered to clean again the next day, but we felt that would have needed an exterminator and a completely new kitchen, and we still wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying. Booking.com made no effort to find a solution, so we’re now considering legal action. The gap between the accommodation and its online presentation is glaring, and we can’t understand the positive reviews. Avoid this place. Sadly, zero stars wasn’t an option.

Great for a holiday with kids, and the apartment is right on the beach at Alcamo Marina. A lovely place to stay!
