Resort La battigia Beach And Spa

The mix of seafood to start was exceptional and great value, and the rest of the food was good too. We liked the rooms and dining area at Resort La Battigia, found plenty of parking, and used the shuttle to get to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so yes, we'd stay there again. Hotel Battigia, its sister property, had double-booked our room. We'd booked more than six months ahead, then were told just two days before arrival that there was no room for us. We're unhappy with how they handled it. Shame on you!

Antonio helped us out late at night by arranging a taxi when we couldn't find one in a nearby town, and we're especially grateful for that. The hotel staff were kind and accommodating throughout. Our room looked out over both the sea and mountains, and there was a very nice pool. A free shuttle takes guests directly to the beach at the sister hotel. There aren't many shops close by, but nearby towns are easy to reach by taxi and have plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The spa was lovely and well kept, and the two massages we had were very good. We also enjoyed the restaurant, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a quiet, newly opened building, and we stayed four nights. Breakfast had a good selection, though eating outside wasn't pleasant when we could hear staff talking loudly behind the wall. The rooms are beautiful and semi-modern, but housekeeping was a letdown. The coffee cups we'd used the day before weren't changed, the room wasn't cleaned very well, and there were stains on the pillowcases and sheets. There's no water provided in the room; for a four-star hotel, complimentary water would be appreciated. The beach shuttle runs often during the day, and you can use the hotel's sunbeds and enjoy the sea. It was a good, relaxing stay overall.

For what this place costs, I expected much more. The outdoor pool is great, but using the indoor pool, sauna, or other facilities means paying another 40 Euros per person for 90 minutes. That's a crazy price compared with what you get elsewhere for the same money. The internet was a joke, too. I haven't had a connection this bad since staying in a hostel 20 years ago. Even a WhatsApp call kept disconnecting every three minutes, and the quality was awful the rest of the time. Forget Netflix or catching up on work in the evening. This is definitely my last stay here.
