Schornhof

Aldein has good shops, and we found plenty to enjoy at the Schornhof itself. The farm's organic meat is made from their own cattle and can be bought on site. We stocked up on that and some other tasty products, and were really pleased with the quality. The children had a brilliant time. Our older daughter was especially taken with the rabbits and fed them every day. The two donkeys and two cats also made them happy, and the trampoline and two swings kept them entertained. There are lovely hikes that start right at the farm, winding through the alpine scenery, and the Weißhorn and Bletterbach Gorge are nearby options for getting out into nature. The family welcomed us warmly as soon as we arrived. They were kind, helpful, and easy to reach whenever we had questions or concerns. It made the place feel like home. Schornhof is a great family holiday spot, and we would happily return and recommend it.

After 15 years of visits, I still love coming here. The living room looks out over the Bletterbach Gorge, and the apartment is nicely furnished, with a kitchen that's both cozy and practical. The beds are comfortable, there's lots of wardrobe space, and the location gives you a choice of walks in every direction. Aldein is a pretty village, and the Weisshorn and Schwarzhorn are fairly close. For more distant routes like the Rosengarten (Rose Garden), you can drive a bit. The family also lends hiking guides with lovely trails to discover. There's so much to like about this apartment and its setting that I can't list it all. A fantastic place for everyone.

Coming back to Aldino is always a pleasure. It's a peaceful spot in the Dolomites where we can recharge, surrounded by greenery and looked after so warmly by Rita, Marcus, and their grandmother Martina. Rita makes an in-room breakfast with authentic, top-quality products, if that's what you choose. The apartment is extremely clean every time we return. A lovely place to switch off from everyday life, and highly recommended for families with children.

With trails, woods, and paths close by, it's a lovely place to stay surrounded by nature. The apartment is comfortable, well equipped, and well maintained, and the owners are kind, discreet, and hospitable. The prices are exceptional too. We'll definitely come back.
