Aigua De Mar

The room itself was nice and had its own bathroom, unlike the room next door. But when we looked at the photos again, we noticed the host had framed them so the shower wasn't visible, probably because it has a plastic curtain. It also took a long time to get even a little hot water. We thought we'd booked a bed and breakfast, but it felt more like a hostel. The entrance and kitchen were shared with other guests, and the description didn't mention this. The kitchen only had a working fridge. Breakfast was another surprise: each morning we had to walk a few minutes to a bar using vouchers. Before going, we had read the booking reviews and seen the owner reply to a complaint saying guests could ask for what they wanted at the bar. We tried that. The waiter said on the first day we could have something sweet, something salty, coffee, and juice. What we actually got was one sweet item, a coffee, and a juice, with the pastry not particularly good. Anything else we ordered had to be paid for. We were very disappointed, especially after staying at several B&Bs around Sardegna where breakfast was full and satisfying. The bar had very limited choice, which was surprising since the booking description called it an “italien breakfast.” There was also a cockroach in the kitchen on our first day, and more outside on “the terrace.” It was disgusting and made us less comfortable about staying longer. Our stay was okay and the room was satisfying, but I really wouldn't recommend Aguia de Mar. It doesn't feel like a proper bed and breakfast, and it was quite expensive compared with other places.
