The little private courtyard outside our room was a highlight, and we had no issues with the room itself. The furnishings are dated, though that seems common in Europe. Getting into the city worked well for us: we drove to Rebibbia Station, about 20 minutes away, parked there, then took the Metro for roughly another 20 minutes to the main tourist areas. It suited us better than taking a taxi or depending on the shuttle. The restaurant made our six-night visit especially memorable. Alexandra was a wonderful waitress, always greeting us with a smile. Since she speaks several languages, ordering felt easy, and on our first night she asked what we liked and coordinated with the chef to accommodate us. She also shared useful ways to get around Rome and made us feel personally welcome. Consuelo was there only a couple of evenings, but she told us about growing up in Rome, helped us understand the area, and explained the dishes as she brought them out. Chef Max was happy to cook my meat well done, even though I know professional cooks don't usually like doing that. Everything tasted great, and we looked forward to seeing the menu each evening. There was a good range of food, and it gave us a nice sense of Italian cuisine. My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Carpediem Roma Golf Club, and we'd definitely book again.

The shuttle drivers were punctual and courteous when we used the service to get into town. Being outside the city means a Metro ride is part of the trip, but we thought the quiet made it worthwhile. We really liked the meals, and every staff member we met was kind. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though some of the furniture is a little old. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a terrible experience and wouldn't recommend this place, especially to Americans. There is very little around it, and it's a long way from central Rome. The property also felt run down. When we called from the city, we were told check-in had to be before 10 p.m., so we rearranged our plans to make it in time. After arriving, we were charged €50 per day for half board. Only then were we told there was a kitchen problem and no meal service: dinner had to be ordered as takeaway, and breakfast was more like a bagged meal. That should have been explained when we called. It caused a lot of hassle. The pool has reportedly been under renovation for two years, the bar was always closed, and both the spa and gym were closed too. There was basically nothing to do and no services available. We were also charged €30 for cleaning on arrival. For €40, we could get a cheaper daily shuttle to Rome, with individual rides costing €5-10 each way. It left the resort at 9 a.m. and picked us up at 7 p.m.; without it, we'd have had to pay for a cab. We asked to leave and requested a refund for the food only. At first she said she could do that and would call to find out how. After asking where we were from, she told whoever answered that we were American. Then she came back and said she couldn't refund us. When we asked for the manager, he wouldn't speak to us. The customer service was awful, and it felt like a waste of money.

My wife and I spent a week at this timeshare while visiting Rome, and it was a very pleasant stay. We liked the quiet country setting just outside the city. The staff were tremendous, the accommodation was outstanding, and the food was superb. The rooms were reasonably priced. One tip for Americans who need to work on a laptop: remember a 110-to-220 conversion kit for the power outlets. We forgot to plan for that when traveling overseas.
