B&B La Casa di Patty

The room’s WiFi was very weak, the old AC didn’t cool properly, and there wasn’t a comforter or any blankets. The bed felt more like a futon than a proper bed, and I suspected there might be bed bugs. I wouldn’t stay here again. I was there in mid-August 2025. It’s within walking distance of Rome’s Termini station, but hard to find because the building has no large signs. The area also seemed rough to me, with graffiti across the block and syringes in the street.

A really good place to stay if you want the sights nearby and don’t want to lose much time getting to them. The location is excellent.

We found the rooms messy and dirty, with mould everywhere and no shampoo. The second night, at 11 pm, the socket ran out of electricity and staff wouldn’t help. I’d rather sleep at the airport than choose this hotel again. On the first day the air conditioner was broken, so they made us move to another hotel 15 minutes away, even though there were plenty of rooms in the same hotel. During that transfer, one of our suitcase wheels broke. There was no apology or compensation. Check-in took more than an hour, and the staff were rude and unhelpful. This was the worst experience of my two months travelling in Europe.

Handy for Termini and the metro, and a good base if you’ll be out walking around the city all day. Our bathroom was a little small but fine. We also had a balcony, though it was closed :(
