Alghero Resort Country Hotel

Nothing about this booking felt good. They present themselves as a 4 star hotel, but the experience fell far short. I paid 240 euro for one night. When I arrived with someone who wasn’t on the original reservation, they asked for another 35 euro, saying the room wasn’t ready for two. It was, with towels, pillows, and everything already there. It felt like they just wanted more money on top of the 240. I booked because the hotel had a restaurant, but it was closed that night, so we had to go out. The pool closed at 20, in June. The person with me had to work the next day and asked if they could stay in the hall room for a few hours. The reply was, “well if there are not many people coming in you might stay an hour”. Very poor value for money. In the end we ate at Villasole, 1km away. They also provide rooms, and that’s a nice place to spend 240 euro.

We felt very welcome, and the resort itself is stunning. Our suite had a private terrace, plenty of privacy, and a beautiful room with a very good bed. Breakfast was great, with homemade products, and the staff were amazing. We also went on a jeep tour with the hotel owner, who took us to some amazing spots around the island. I had an amazing massage at the spa too. Very recommended!

We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to unwind and enjoy Sardinia’s beauty. The location was peaceful, but still convenient for exploring Alghero and its beautiful beaches. Our spacious apartment suite had a rustic feel alongside modern comforts, and the kids loved the pool while we relaxed beside it. The on-site restaurant served delicious local food. The hotel team went above and beyond, with genuine warmth and attention to detail that made us feel valued from start to finish.

We loved our three-night stay. The garden and pool are beautiful, and our room was clean, well appointed, and had strong AC. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh local food. We had the set menu dinner one evening, which was fresh and excellent, one of our favourite meals of the trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a perfect location a little outside Alghero, and with a car it was easy, or taxis were affordable and convenient.
