The location is perfect, but breakfast was poor and the coffee machine didn’t work.

Alghero’s center makes for a lovely day out, with its cathedral, towers, churches, and old walls. The pretty streets are lined with plenty of restaurants and shops.

The winding lanes and little shops are a big part of the appeal, and the city is worth spending a few days in. It’s getting a little too touristy, though, so I hope it doesn’t grow so much that it loses its character.
