Glamping at Sardinia

It’s a decent campsite otherwise, but check the standard daily rates before using your ACSI card. We paid more with the card than the regular rate would have cost, which rather defeats the point of a discount. We know an ACSI card can mean a more limited choice of pitches, and that’s perfectly normal. We’re happy with that when there’s a lower price in return. Taking a less desirable pitch only makes sense if it actually saves money, rather than costing extra. By the way, fries were 7€.

The daytime setup is lovely for kids: there’s a pool with slides and a splash park, plus a kiosk for drinks and snacks. The problem is the noise and entertainment. Two men shouted at each other over microphones by the pool from 11 to 1, then again from 5 to 7. Evening entertainment on the stage ran from 9:30 until 11 or 12, and once that ended, the beach bar across the road was still noisy. We also weren’t told about a gig over the road. It was so loud the caravan shook, and it went on until 2 in the morning. If you like your sleep, this place isn’t for you.

The gym equipment was in terrible condition. The site is beside a military airport and festival arena, so it was extremely loud at night and we couldn’t sleep. Staff knew about the noise, but wouldn’t even accept an early checkout.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the beach is just across the street. When we visited, though, it was full of seaweed and the water was nowhere near the perfect blue shown in the pictures. The pool is nice, but you have to buy and wear a swimming cap to use it. My wife and I stayed two nights with our camper. We chose a parcel around number 500, and paid 106€ all in. The toilets and showers are quite old and not very well maintained. I’d recommend the place, but probably only for a short stay.
