Azienda Agrituristica La Genziana

Dinner was the highlight for us, served outdoors under a roof. Annalisa, Sylvia, and their mum prepare delicious traditional dishes with an authentic taste of Sardinia. Thank you for welcoming us and being so sweet with our baby Lenni. It's a little gem outside Alghero, ideal if you want somewhere quiet and family-friendly, with the city and beach only a short distance away.

Breakfast was a real treat each morning: homemade cakes and biscuits, fresh bread, local Sardinian produce, and eggs cooked to order. It felt like being fed by a lovely Italian family. Annalisa and her family welcomed us like old friends, and their warmth stayed with us throughout. They shared local advice and recommendations that made our time in the region richer than any guidebook could. Agriturismo La Genziana was one of the highlights of our time in Sardinia. It's surrounded by countryside but only ten minutes from the coastal town of Alghero, so it feels peaceful and rural while keeping everything close. This is family-run in the best sense, with the parents and their two daughters putting real care and pride into every detail. If you're visiting Alghero and the surrounding area, it's the kind of place you'll remember long after you leave.

We only had two nights here during a short self-drive trip, which was a shame because we'd happily return. The room was lovely and spacious, with a brand new bathroom and everything we needed. The grounds were lovely too. Breakfast and dinner are served on a cozy terrace. Breakfast was Italian-style, with some cheese and cold cuts, fresh eggs, and homemade yogurt. Dinner was fresh and delicious, and highly recommended. Alghero and Fertilia are nearby and easy to reach. You can barely notice the airport, since only a few planes take off and land. A lovely little oasis of an agriturismo.
