Chiara made us feel at home and shared useful tips. She speaks Italian, English and at least French. We also found the room very reasonably priced. Villa Teodora is around a 15-minute walk from the old centre along the seafront, and has secure gated parking behind the house, handy for cars and bikes. Our room was airy, clean and a good size, with a comfortable bed, fresh-smelling linens, a clean ensuite and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was a small Italian-style spread of cakes, biscuits, buns, bread, cheese, ham and jam. The coffee was made in the kitchen and brought to our table, and it was very good.

A lovely place for a few days. It’s in a quieter part of the city, with private parking, and close enough to the centre while still being free of city noise. There’s also a great sunset viewpoint in Alghero just a few steps away. Our host was kind and did a lot to make us feel at home. Highly recommended.

Chiara was so helpful that she even called to check the opening hours for Grotta di Nettuno. The place itself is lovely, clean and cozy, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the historic centre. Breakfast was great, with sweets, pastries, toast, eggs and espresso. Each room has a terrace, and you can park inside behind a closed gate. Alghero is an amazing city. Grazie, Chiara!
