Hotel El Balear

I loved it here. Wonderful view, really good kitchen, nice rooms, and great staff!

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We arrived early in the morning after being stuck at the airport for 15+ hours while our flight was eventually canceled, and they were so sweet and accommodating. Within minutes of walking in, they had given us a room. The hotel is great value for money, right at the edge of the old town. You’re out of the crowds and noise but can still walk into town. The room was spacious enough and had a balcony. It was pretty outdated, but very clean. Breakfast was decent and included, with a really nice sea view.

Dinner was a highlight for me: each evening there were three choices for both courses, all freshly made, and the cooks did a great job. Breakfast had a generous buffet with plenty of tasty options, and I enjoyed having coffee at the bar too. The hotel is in a pleasant part of town, close to the old town, and has what you need for a nice holiday. The staff deserve a mention as well. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily, the receptionists were kind and helpful, and the waiters were caring and friendly. The service was at a high level throughout my stay. I’d definitely recommend half board.

We spent four nights at Hotel El Balear and really liked how easy it was to get around. Cafes are close by, the port and main part of town are about a 10-minute walk, and a lovely seafront promenade runs outside the hotel toward the old town. Our triple room had a balcony and a beautiful view of the sea. The hotel felt comfortable and well run, and the staff were ready to help. Front desk staff helped with our luggage and restaurant suggestions. At breakfast, the attentive, professional waiters made us excellent cappuccinos. There was a generous buffet with fresh pastries and fruit, plus hot choices such as eggs and bacon. We’d happily recommend Hotel El Balear.
