Seve was a fantastic hostess. She was kind and gave us suggestions for places around town. When we had trouble with the wifi, she came straight over to fix it, and she offered to prepare an early breakfast for our very early flight. The breakfast buffet was very decent, with tea, coffee, and pastries available for free. Guests can also use the kitchen’s fridge and microwave. The hotel is a lovely little place in Alghero’s historic center, with very good value for money. It’s 100m from the central market and about 300m from the medieval walls. You can get there by airport bus, getting off at Via Catalugna and walking four minutes. Our room was quite large and had a small street-facing balcony. The thick stone walls and soundproof windows kept out noise from both the street and other guests. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower worked well. We’d definitely come back.

The apartment is right in the middle of Alghero’s center, and the host was friendly and helpful. We were even able to check in early. But for the amount we paid, I expected much more, and I won’t return. Breakfast was very poor: one cornetto, a small butter, a little cream cheese, and a cappuccino. There was no cheese or ham, just that and a few small, old fruits. The floor was very dirty, and the cleaning wasn’t sufficient. Worst of all was the toilet flush. I understand it may be difficult to install a new system in the old town, but it was extremely loud and would wake everyone if used during the night.

Severine was a great host, friendly and very knowledgeable about the city. She had advice on restaurants and which beaches to visit or avoid. We’d definitely recommend B&B Poseidon as a base for exploring Alghero and the region. The location worked perfectly for us: close to the historic center and beaches, but far enough from the middle of town to stay quiet at night. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a good bed, dresser, chairs, and a table where we could relax after a long day. The bathroom was good and the shower was great. Breakfast was served each morning in the breakfast room. There were fresh cornettos, coffee, juice, bread rolls, and fruit, plus packaged pastries that came in handy when we had an excursion before breakfast.

The guides were amazing, and it was a fun experience. Would recommend :)
