Gourmet Hotel Sonnleiten

The tempura prawn starter and local beef main were the standouts, with generous portions and great value. The five-course gourmet dinner looked lovely, tasted fantastic, and came with an impressive menu and efficient service. The warm, cozy setting made the evening, and I’d highly recommend it.

The Ahrntal valley is beautiful and makes a great base for excursions, as well as a peaceful place to unwind. At Hotel Sonnleiten, I’ve always felt at home during my several stays. The hosts are welcoming and clearly care about guests’ comfort, and there’s a lovely family feel to the place. Rooms are cozy and kept in good shape, breakfast is generous, and dinner has always been excellent. I’m happy to return.

The food was heavenly for someone like me who loves traditional cuisine, and the ski lift is only five minutes away. We stayed four nights, and the rooms were lovely, spotless, and cared for down to the smallest detail. The staff were incredibly polite and kind, as were the people throughout South Tyrol, who have such big, kind hearts. It was a really positive stay, and I’d come back. Hotel Sonnleiten in Steinhaus, Ahrntal was a peaceful, comfortable base in the heart of the beautiful Ahrntal Valley this fall. I had a memorable stay, with spacious rooms that were meticulously cared for and a very welcoming staff. The cooking brings local flavors together with modern touches, making for a distinctive dining experience. There are plenty of hiking paths and outdoor activities just steps away, so it’s especially well placed for nature lovers. The attention to sustainability and guests’ well-being came through throughout my stay. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a restful, rejuvenating holiday in the Ahrntal Valley.
