Vel Mari - Rooms on the Beach

Being right on the beach was the best part, and getting to the nearest village, with its co-op and restaurants, takes about ten minutes on foot. There are regular buses to Alghero and the airport too. The staff were so accommodating. I had brought the wrong adapter, not the usual European one, and they helped me out. They also let me extend checkout at short notice. Breakfast was a good continental spread, and the chocolate cake was wonderful. I was lucky to find this place. It was fabulous!

There's a village just two minutes away with restaurants, bars, and a small supermarket, and a bus stop outside the hotel tube runs to Alghero and the airport. We had a wonderful stay in Vel Mari. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and had air conditioning. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's beach was clean, with an attendant or lifeguard there all day. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We stayed at Vel Mari for nine nights in May. The beach is cleaned daily, and having a lifeguard there made it feel very safe. Sunbeds cost extra, but you don't have to use them. The staff were cheerful and really helpful, and you can ask for anything the place offers if you're missing something. Breakfast was included and very good. I would've liked more vegetables besides tomatoes, but I was happy with the rest. There was a wide choice for anyone who likes a sweet breakfast. We ate outside on a covered terrace. Rooms were cleaned daily, and sheets and towels were changed every two or three days. The place also serves tasty alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, plus amazing food in the afternoon and evening, just remember the siesta. We couldn't imagine a better stay in Sardegna. Many thanks to the staff for making it even better. I fully recommend it!
