Villa Marogna's host was the best we've ever had. Thank you again for everything, Davide! The rooms were very nice and clean, and just 200 metres from the beach. Breakfast was good, and the coffee was excellent. If you're looking for a nice place to stay in Alghero, this is the right address.

It's close to the beach, city centre, and airport. The owner is very attentive and tries to help with any problems you might have. Our room was large, with a nice balcony. The downside is the very busy street, day and night, but they provided earplugs 😀.

The host was super nice, the prices were fair, and breakfast was good. We arrived late because of an airport problem and flight delays. He said he'd have to charge us a late check-in fee, but in the end he didn't, which was really kind. Thank you! I'd recommend it and stay again!

Three days after our stay on 3 December 2024, I checked my bank account and saw that the €52 I had left on the table for Mr Marogna had been charged twice. We’d booked through Booking.com, and after breakfast I paid without realizing the establishment had already taken payment directly. We said goodbye and left thinking everything was settled. I contacted him through Booking.com to explain and asked if we could sort it out amicably. He never replied. Within minutes, though, he reported on the site that we hadn’t stayed there. Booking.com asked me about it, and I said we had been there. The room’s Wi-Fi code was still saved in my phone settings as proof. This felt like two acts of dishonesty, and it tarnishes the image of this sublime island. Looking through the comments, I saw I wasn’t the only one with a complaint. A bon entendeur salut...
