Sicily Bike

The host made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay, even with the language barrier. When we were hungry and everything was closed, she arranged pizza for us, which was a really thoughtful gesture. Sicily Bike Bed and Breakfast was a lovely place to stay. It's a great stop for cyclists and a nice choice for a getaway in Sicily.

The self-serve continental breakfast had bread, pastries, juice, yogurt, and coffee, though you had to make your own coffee or tea. I would have given five stars if there had been a hot breakfast. This bed and breakfast is in a quiet rural spot outside Caltanissetta, with about five or six rooms and a pleasant garden path lit between fruit trees. My room was simple but clean, with a queen-size bed, two nightstands, and a wardrobe. The bathroom was small but had the essentials. The wardrobe was split into two sections inside, leaving too little hanging space for my dresses.

After a long day cycling, I slept like a baby in the cosy duvet and pleasantly warm room. This was probably my most comfortable stop on the whole Sicily divide trip. The host was super friendly and made sure I felt at ease in the house. With all the nearby restaurants closed, she offered to order pizza for me. Grazie mile!

Breakfast was generous, with yogurt, bread, croissants, coffee, cereal, and more. During check-in and breakfast, the host made sure we had what we needed, and she was attentive throughout. She also shared lots of information and helped us book a restaurant in town. The BnB is about 2 km downhill from town, but easy to find from the main road and close to the Sicliy Divide route. It's well set up for the Sicily divide, with a backyard bike area and a floor pump.
