Masseria del Ninfeo

The walks through old olive groves and little villages were a highlight, and the beaches are close by too. Masseria del Ninfeo sits in peaceful, unspoiled countryside, yet it's well placed for exploring Salento. The old residence has been renovated with real care, giving it a distinctive, restful feel. Cristina made us feel at home right away. She was kind and full of useful suggestions for places to see and restaurants to try. Breakfast was generous, with fresh fruit picked from the trees, tasty cream-filled brioches, and plenty more.

We came away with lovely memories from another year at the Masseria. The relaxed atmosphere and good company made the evening especially nice. At the tasting, we tried a range of typical Salento foods, with different flavors and textures, all prepared by our Massare with care and dedication. A good local wine went with it all. The kids were thrilled with the loft beds and the beautiful pool cut into the rock. We hadn't planned on finding this place, but coming across the masseria by chance turned out to be a lovely surprise. It's surrounded by nature and quiet, and Cristina gave us such a warm, helpful welcome. Our room was spotless, tastefully furnished, and had every comfort. Breakfast offered a good variety of local products. We'd happily return, and absolutely recommend it.

Cristina's kindness and attention to guests give the place a special feel. This is a lovely, unusual Masseria with rooms furnished with artistic flair and a pool carved into the rock. Breakfast was generous and varied, with excellent ingredients. It's a restful spot near the sea and the main attractions of Salento. I hope I can come back.
