I booked through a website, but I didn’t find Vincenzo trustworthy or honest as a host. The place smelled of mold, and communicating with him wasn’t pleasant. I wouldn’t recommend the place or the host to travelers.

The real highlight was how helpful Mr. Vincenzo and Mrs. Enza were. Their cultural and food advice helped us discover the beauty and flavors of their homeland, and they made us feel at home. L'Antro delle Muse is spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean, right in the heart of Altamura and just steps from the main street and its cultural attractions, from the old bakeries to the cathedral. Highly recommended.

We spent four lovely days in a tidy, clean, beautifully maintained town with plenty to see, including the Duomo. The apartment was great for a family stay, centrally located, very nice, and had everything we needed. The owner and his wife were kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

The studio has plenty of character and is well looked after, and breakfast was generous with a nice variety. It’s conveniently placed for enjoying the city center, yet still quiet. A good spot for day trips.
