Principe Alogna Hotel & Spa

Check-in and check-out were very easy, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room size and furniture were fine. We stayed five days in January 2025, and breakfast and dinner were good. The heating gave us problems on most days, sometimes working only partly or not at all. It was around 10-12°C outside and very damp. The hot water was unreliable too: the shower went from normal to hot to very cold for no clear reason. They tried to fix both issues, but with little success. I’m sure a stay during a period when heat isn’t needed wouldn’t have these problems.

It was easy to relax in the comfortable rooms, with their tasteful decor, modern amenities and calm atmosphere. The hotel is in a quiet area, a good setting for a peaceful break. Breakfast was delightful, with plenty of tasty options for different tastes. The staff at Principe Alogna Hotel & SPA were attentive, friendly and ready to go the extra mile throughout our stay. It’s about 40 minutes by car from both Palermo center and Cefalù, so you get a tranquil escape while still being able to reach those lively destinations.

The night shift concierge was so lovely, and the service was outstanding. While I was writing this review, I got a message saying we’d left a t-shirt behind. At a 5* hotel in Ibiza, I once forgot a top drying, called them, and they said they’d never found it, even though I knew I’d left it there. The difference in service is brutal. Principe Alogna has definitely excelled here. The Grohe showers won me over, with perfect pressure. And breakfast was amazing. If they had goose pillows and duvets, I’d have come back from that breakfast, gone straight to bed and never left!

My partner and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary here, and the whole team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Five months later, we’re still talking about the trip because it felt so special. Thanks for such an incredible experience. T’Shan and I hope to visit again soon!
