My wife and I stayed for one night at ibis Styles Roma Eur, arriving on 9 May and leaving on 10 May 2026. I waited almost a month before writing this, hoping the shock and disappointment would fade. They haven't. At checkout, I told the concierge how surprised we were by the state of our room. Room size wasn't the issue. We knew we'd booked a compact room and were fine with that. The problem was its cleanliness, upkeep, and general condition. We took photos during the stay and provided them; they show what we found. This feedback is about the property's standards, not the staff. ibis is a well-known international brand within Accor, and guests shouldn't be given rooms in this state of deterioration, poor cleanliness, and lack of maintenance. Rome is Italy's capital, and this level of care is unacceptable. I travel a lot and regularly stay at Accor hotels, but this experience has made me seriously question whether I'll choose them again. I don't say that lightly. I hope Ms. Monica Redi, General Manager, takes this seriously and raises it with the right people in the organization. The problems suggest wider gaps in housekeeping, room upkeep, and inspection procedures that need immediate attention. You asked for honest feedback, and that's what we're giving, factually and constructively. We won't return to ibis Styles Roma Eur or recommend it to others. Rating: 1/10.

Getting to the Colosseum and Central Station is straightforward from the metro, with a direct line. There are two metro stations within a 20-minute walk. The hotel is in a quiet area, and my room at the end of the third-floor corridor was very peaceful. It also had a separate sitting area with a sofa and TV. Breakfast offered a very good selection.

The room felt more like something for an ibis budget than an ibis Styles. It was old, cramped to the point there was barely room to stand, and smelled of rotten carpet. There was no tea or coffee setup in the room. The lobby machine was dirty, not maintained, and didn't even work. The location is absolutely unrelated to tourism. A waste of money.

The booking was for a matrimonial room, yet at check-in they tried to charge extra for my wife. Be careful to list your companion explicitly, even when you've reserved a double room. We also had a strong sewage-like odor from the bathtub, and the minibar fridge didn't cool anything. The room had serious problems, and the reception experience was just as disappointing. From arrival, the staff were rude and unprofessional. The manager came across as especially arrogant and unwilling to help or resolve anything. I stayed at Ibis Styles Roma Eur and wouldn't recommend it. I definitely won't be coming back.
