Hotel Prati

Service was fantastic, and they served a small continental breakfast. The location is great for walking to the Vatican. The room was tiny, and both the elevator and shower were even smaller. I’m 5'4 and mid-size, and could barely get through the shower doors. Because of the shower and elevator sizes, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone over 6 feet tall or in the mid-size range and up.

The reception guys were always polite and helpful, which made the stay nicer whenever we spoke with them. The location worked really well: the Vatican Museums and St Peter's Square were a short walk away, and a bus to Rome’s main spots stopped nearby. There were grocery stores and restaurants close by, plus a good self-service laundromat about a 15-minute walk away. Our room was clean and comfortable, and good value for the price, though a bit small with dated bathroom furnishings. Those were minor issues for what we paid. Breakfast was okay but repetitive. We had a comfortable stay and would recommend it to budget travelers.

For a 2-star hotel, it was nicer than I expected. The staff were very nice, the service was good, and the hotel felt cozy and was in a good location. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were small, but overall it was a nice stay.

They were the kindest people, and handled a mix-up over which hotel my reservation was for. The air conditioning had an issue on the first night, but it was okay and they moved me the next night. Great people, great location, and good value. I can’t say enough good things, and I highly recommend it.
