Hotel Aurora

Our balcony had a beautiful view, and the location worked well for us: it’s at the end of the path, away from everything, but still close enough to walk to the shops and places to eat. The staff were amazing, from the room team and front desk to the breakfast servers.

We’ll definitely come back. Hotel Aurora made a lovely quiet base for Amalfi and exploring the whole coastline, tucked away at the end of the promenade but still an easy walk into town. The staff were all friendly and helped with recommendations for tours, travel, and restaurants. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast on the beautiful rooftop terrace. Our front room had a balcony and sea view, efficient air conditioning, cool tile floors, and was cleaned thoroughly every day. Thank you!

The location next to the marina was very quiet, and the rooms were clean with amazing ocean views. It was under a five-minute walk to the buses and ferry pier, making day trips to Positano and Ravello easy. The free breakfast was very good, and all the staff were cheerful and eager to help. They made our three-day stay even better. We’ll absolutely stay with them again when we return.

The water view was incredible, the little refrigerator was handy for keeping water cold, and the bathroom hair dryer was out of this world. Room service during the day always did a nice job. Breakfast was fine, with fresh pastries and good coffee, and the terrace view was excellent. Most staff were amazing during the day, helping with dinner reservations and suggestions, and the front desk was kind depending on who was working. They also arranged airport transport through the hotel, which was great. Both drivers were excellent, and one sweetly stopped for a photo in Ravello. The evening staff, though, weren’t helpful. They advertise 24-hour front desk service, but one evening a guest asking for extra blankets couldn’t get help. Another night we were out of conditioner, and when my husband went down, the man said he’d have to call to find out if they could get more because he didn’t know where it was kept. We stayed a few nights for our honeymoon, and it was a bit of a culture shock. Our standard room was very small, though that was fine since we didn’t spend much time in it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on a rock, and even carpeted flooring would have felt better than the tile. Our backs hurt so much that the rest of the honeymoon was difficult, and even our ribs were sore in the mornings. We also woke to cars honking several times, so rooms near the parking lot could use sound machines.
