Mariuccia House

We used the car only to reach the house, then left it in the provided garage until the end of our holiday. The place is easily reached by car and has good public transport links. Lina greeted us with refreshing Amalfi lemonade and shared the bus timetable for Amalfi center, along with a few free tickets. From there we could visit the lovely towns by bus, which was handy since parking along the coast is expensive and often full. We stayed in Vettica, about twenty minutes from Amalfi, at the lovely Casa Mariuccia-Fior di Limone. The sea view from the small, charming terrace was wonderful, with lemon trees below. The house has a living area with a sofa bed, a shower bathroom and a pleasant wooden mezzanine with a double bed, reached by an easy wooden staircase. It was stocked with dishes, detergents, a hair dryer, several sets of clean linens, a fridge, washing machine, ironing board and iron, plus breakfast basics like jam and toast. Lina also gave us little jars of homemade lemon marmalade. We wanted to share this lovely experience and hope others visit the Amalfi Coast and feel at home here.
