Villa Iazzetta

The wonderful, peaceful view made the journey feel worthwhile. My wife and I liked the place for what we paid, and thought the Granny running the B & B was very sweet. She doesn't speak much English, but we managed to communicate. It's dated, both in its amenities and the way it's run, so don't expect a modern hotel experience. It's also quite a walk from the main town, so I'd recommend taking the bus.

We’re staying at villa lazzetta ( 27/08/22), and the staff have been amazing, welcoming and very friendly. Ask them for help and they'll do it. They handled drop-offs and pickups to and from a wedding venue without any issues. The room is exactly as described and larger than expected. For a family of four, the lovely front room and open-plan kitchen have plenty of space, with two separate, good-sized bedrooms. Parking is a bit of a pain. If you're driving, contact them in advance so they can reserve the garage, which is a must. Almalfis main town is bustling, and I wouldn't advise trying to park there.

Amalfi is 45 minutes away on foot, and the place itself is great. Breakfast was included, which we hadn't expected, and the other staff are nice. The parking is awful, though. The bottom of your car will get scratched each time you enter or leave the garage, and you have to leave your car key there so the owner can move it if needed. The owner is very grumpy and doesn't give the kind of useful local tourist information that you get at almost every other B&B.

A lovely little spot, absolutely perfect.
