An overpriced flop house.

We had dinner as part of our half-board stay, and it felt more like eating at a proper restaurant than at a typical hotel. The dishes were flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and made with fresh ingredients. Breakfast was generous too, with plenty of quality sweet and savory choices. At Hotel Santa Maria in Amantea, we had a wonderful time. Our room was basic but had everything we needed, and it was very clean. The hotel is conveniently placed for both the sea and the town center. The staff are welcoming and friendly; they may be a little short on experience, but their effort and enthusiasm really show. The owner is always available with suggestions and ready to advise guests. It’s an excellent base for visiting the area, and I highly recommend it.

The breakfast was plentiful, varied, and made with fresh, quality products. We stayed three nights at Hotel Santa Maria in Amantea as a couple, from June 27-30, and had a lovely time. The hotel was welcoming, clean, and well kept. Our spacious, bright room had every comfort, including a nice balcony where we could relax outside. The staff were always smiling, friendly, and helpful, and made us feel welcome. It’s in a quiet area, just minutes from the center, so it’s easy to relax and still take a walk along the seafront or through the historic center. There’s an underpass directly accessible from the hotel to reach Amantea’s public beach. A pleasant stay in every way. I’d gladly come back, and recommend it to couples or anyone wanting a comfortable, well-maintained base for exploring Amantea and the surrounding area.
