Alpino Plan

We spent a week here skiing as a family of five. The staff were very friendly and focused on service, and the food was very good, with something different each day. Our room was spacious, the beds were good, and everything was clean. The bathroom looked a little dated but worked fine. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the very nice city centre. You can ski back to the hotel entrance, and the slopes are only a few minutes’ walk away.

We were 19 middle-aged-plus blokes, and the family owners made us feel very welcome. It’s a lovely family-run hotel with a rustic charm, and the food was excellent. If you know the way, the piste is less than a five-minute walk.

We stayed in June and found the room comfortable without being too hot. The staff were lovely, and the hotel’s old-fashioned look gave it a really cool, unusual feel. The free bus pass that comes with the stay was extremely handy for getting around on hikes and other outings.

We were a group of three on a Crystal Ski package over Easter. The Demetz family were welcoming and ready to help with anything. The homely decor adds a lot of warmth to the place. Our room had three single beds but was still spacious enough, with plenty of hanging space and storage. The bathroom had shower gel and shampoo, soap, towels, toilet roll and a bidet. Breakfast and dinner were both good, with plenty of variety, and I couldn’t fault any of the meals we ate there. The restaurant is on the first floor, serving a continental breakfast and set-menu dinner. Breakfast ran from 7:45AM to 9:45AM, and dinner from 7:30PM to 9:00PM. You choose your dinner menu at breakfast each day. On the ground floor there’s a bar and a ski locker room, with a key card provided at the start of your stay. The private sauna is on the second floor and costs €5 per person per hour. You need to request it an hour ahead so it can warm up. The hotel is across from the Alpino bus stop, and it’s a short five-minute walk to the Plan bus terminus. The ski facilities were useful, and the room had enough space for our things.
