Villa Ori B&B

The breakfast room had just three small tables, and there was a man cleaning pots and pans. The old hallway had a strong, pungent smell. We returned the keys and left without staying. Unfortunately, they still require 70-80% of the deposit and won’t refund it. The villa was a huge disappointment, in disrepair with peeling walls. The room was tiny and very ugly, nothing like the photos on the website. Highly not recommended!

The place itself was nice, but I’ll never return. We booked two days on the property’s website and had told them when we would arrive, yet when we got there we had no directions for getting in and no one answered. After two hours, someone from another hotel they own called to ask if we still wanted to stay overnight. We didn’t know what else to do, so we accepted. Even after I explained how inconvenient this had been, they put us in a small room despite our having a dog. The woman who called from the other hotel was rude and sounded annoyed when I explained the problem. You people really don’t know how to do this job. The customer needs to be pampered. You are not owed anything.

The buffet breakfast had a good range of sweet and savory choices, and the staff were very friendly. This small B&B is well situated for exploring the coast between Massa and La Spezia. The rooms are small but tidy. It’s a shame there’s no bidet or small fridge, and parking is small, though convenient.

The terrace and location are enviable, and we found the room and other areas clean. The property isn’t new and feels a bit shabby in some respects.
