The villa has lovely gardens and views, just the kind of place to relax and take in the beauty around you. The pool and lounging areas were great for cooling off and enjoying the peaceful lake setting. We also loved meeting the furry residents, a gorgeous dog and beautiful cats who made the place feel homely and brought us comfort and smiles. There’s a little shop within walking distance for bread, wine, salami, and cheese, plus a couple of restaurants and an Osteria. Luca greeted us at the train station, and his kindness and hospitality had us excited for our special few days from the very start. We weren’t disappointed. We’ll be dreaming of coming back!

Our apartment had everything we needed, and it was a lovely place to stay. Villa La Vignole is an old family home set on the hillside above Lake Orta. Luca was a wonderful host. One of our lasting holiday memories will be sitting in the garden with a bottle of wine, chatting and enjoying the views. We’d definitely recommend it to couples or families.

Luca and Melissa made us feel so welcome and were wonderful hosts. We had a perfect stay in a comfortable apartment with a lovely outdoor area and a beautiful lake view.

A ten minute drive gets you to Lake Orta, and there are affordable restaurants nearby, along with a small convenience store selling local products just around the corner. It’s also a handy starting point for hikes. The apartment feels charming and homey, and it has the unusual bonus of a tennis court with breathtaking views. Luca and Melissa were warm, open, and excellent at helping with any concerns, big or small, promptly and in a friendly way. Their cats and lovable dog add to the cozy feel. If you’re uncomfortable around the dog, he is kept in his kennel away from guests. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. This is a serene, memorable place to stay, and I’d highly recommend it. I’m already looking forward to returning!
