Masseria Lilei

We spent three days at Masseria LiLei before and after our wedding there, and it was simply the best wedding venue and hotel we've ever experienced. The place was spotless and stylish throughout, and the magnificent staff made every request feel easy. The amenities are excellent, including the spa, gym, and gorgeous pool. For food and drink, there's the kitchen, their own olive oil, and wines made on the estate. This place deserves 6 stars. Do yourself a favour and visit this magical place!

Masseria Li Lei was the most upscale of the Masserias we stayed at on our trip, and it was perfect in every way. We visited for a few nights in early September 2024. The pool was fabulous, and our room was immaculate. We were treated so well, and the surroundings were beautiful. GPS took us there easily, and it's close to the best parts of Puglia. We'd loved the other Masserias too, and I cried when we left each one, but this place will stay with us.

The front desk helped us sort out our daily plans and even called around to make sure we had dinner reservations each night. That was so helpful. Masseria Lilei is about a 15 minute drive from Lecce, so it was convenient for getting around. There are fewer than 12 rooms, and the staff made a real effort to make us feel at home. The rooms were large and very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the spacious property has a pool, a fresh garden, and a vineyard. I was hesitant to book at first because I couldn't find many reviews, then learned the property had only opened the previous year. I'm so glad I came across this gem.

The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is clean and very well maintained. I just wish we'd been able to enjoy it more. We planned a full day there to use the spa and relax after weeks of busy travel, but couldn't book the spa at all. During our stay while exploring Lecce, the service was the worst we experienced in seven weeks in Italy. Our concierge questions and requests were ignored or met with a runaround, and many plans fell through. We didn't get the relaxing Masseria stay we'd been looking forward to, and staff made us feel like pesky flies to swat instead of actual guests. If I could do it again, I'd stay somewhere else and encourage others to look elsewhere before booking.
