We arrived on the island without confirmation from this property that we could stay, and ended up booking an amazing Airbnb instead. I eventually heard from them at 2pm, when they said they were arranging another hotel on the island for us. That was bizarre after they had said tourists couldn't come because of the water problem, even though the issue had been resolved. There had been a water fault on Saturday. A restaurant where we'd booked Sunday dinner told us the mayor had cleared it Saturday night. I was due to stay on Sunday and hadn't heard anything from the hotel. I'd also messaged when I booked in May and got no answer, and their phone number doesn't work. I contacted them on Saturday about the water and heard nothing. On Sunday morning, they said we couldn't come to the island due to the problem. But we checked with several people and Google, and both said the mayor had announced it was fixed and tourists could visit. The hotel wouldn't confirm whether we could stay that night. Expedia couldn't reach them either when I asked for help. I'd avoid booking with this 'hotel'. It seems like a scam, and they still haven't refunded us. They aren't replying to our messages, and Expedia can't get our money back because we paid the property directly. I'm so frustrated, and wouldn't wish this on anyone. AVOID!

We had a great time. The owner was kind and helped us plan what to do in Capri. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The location has a lot of charm, and it's a lovely base for walking around Anacapri's best shops and restaurants.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY!!! I got my money back through Booking, but the day itself was a nightmare. I had booked a sea-view room through Booking.com a week ahead, received confirmation, and then booked my ferry transfers. Once I arrived on the island, the owner canceled late in the morning, saying there were no rooms left. I called right away to ask what had happened. When I pointed out I had a confirmed reservation for that day, he got agitated and told me to come over so he could see whether he could find another room. I replied that I'd booked that room at that price and had confirmation. He then insulted me, told me to sort it out with Booking, and abruptly hung up. I'd never had trouble with Booking before. I hope they remove him and the property from the site. DISHONEST AND RUDE OWNER!!! 0 STARS!!!

The bed was comfortable, the place was clean, and the location was good. The owner was friendly and very accommodating. I can't think of anything bad to say. A great place to stay on the island. :)
