I loved the building and the neighborhood, and the friendly staff and breakfast bar were nice to have. The small hotel sits between the centre and the pleasant residential area of Passetto. It’s an easy walk to both Ancona’s popular bathing area and the town’s historic centre.

The rooms and bathrooms are badly in need of renovation, and the breakfast is a picture of misery and despair. The self-service "totem" for checking in and out feels like a failure. You can tell the owner is quite miserly.

The beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, and the welcome was very hospitable. Just be prepared for a few flights of stairs to reach the hotel floor. That could be inconvenient if you’re carrying lots of heavy bags.

The restaurant next door was excellent and very reasonably priced, definitely a must. I think it’s one of the best in town. The hotel itself had nice rooms, a perfect location, a decent little breakfast buffet, and very nice staff.

The staff were kind and accommodating. My flight delay meant I arrived at 3am, but my key was waiting at the reception desk. They brought breakfast to my room each morning, with good quality and lots of choice. The room was cleaned every day, and I had soap, shower gel, and fresh towels daily.
