Capri Wine Hotel

Breakfast had lots to choose from, and we enjoyed it all while taking in the spectacular sea view outside. The gardens are lovely to wander through, too. The owners made us feel welcome from the start, and staying at Capri Wine Hotel gave us a real taste of life on this beautiful island.

On our second visit, Capri Wine Hotel was even better than the first time. We really enjoyed the genuine Italian hospitality, and the homemade breakfast was the best we've had anywhere we've traveled. They opened a restaurant this year, where we had a fantastic lunch looking out at Vesuvius. Our queen bed room was comfortable and had a terrace with a great view of Vesuvius. I also liked the in-room selection of half bottles of wine, a full bottle would've been too much to open on a whim. We'll stay here again next time we're in Capri.

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived at Capri Wine Hotel. The staff gave us helpful suggestions for restaurants and things to do, which made our Capri trip unforgettable. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and attention to detail was top tier. One of our best experiences in Italy so far, and highly recommended for a Capri visit. 10/10.

It’s a pretty hotel in a hidden-gem kind of spot, close to the main square and easy to walk around. The neighborhood feel makes you feel like part of the community. But the friendly service wasn’t accommodating. There was no coffee before 7:30, when the breakfast buffet starts. I asked for pretzel snacks, and the owner/receptionist asked my room number, then scooped them from a plastic container into a glass bowl with a spoon. By the pool on March 20th, the water was unbearably cold, and nobody offered a towel or drink. The rooms are very small, with just a little nook and hangers instead of a closet. There aren't the amenities I'd expect, and not one TV channel was in English. I'd look elsewhere.
