View Place Spa

The room was a real treat, with a queen-size bed and a very comfortable mattress. The hotel is stylish, modern and very clean, with its own pool and the beach only a short walk away. What made the stay, though, was the staff. The reception team greeted us warmly and professionally every day, and the restaurant staff were just as good. Allessandro and the woman serving breakfast, whose name I didn’t catch, were brilliant. We’d happily recommend The View Place to our friends if they’re visiting Numana.

I ordered the menu’s “slice of fish and grilled vegetables,” but got two pieces of octopus with steamed spinach instead. When I asked about it, they defended the order by saying, “octopus is fish.” I ended up getting pizza nearby. They seem to be aiming for a Michelin star, but getting an order wrong and defending it makes that hard to picture.

Numana’s newer part is where this hotel is, while the old part, north over the cliff, is where I’d head for the beach and sightseeing. The hotel itself is modern and chic, a welcome change from the feeling that you’ve travelled back to the 90s that I’ve found in other Italian hotels. Everyone was helpful and welcoming, and the service was amazing. Absolutely fantastic stay, highly recommended.

We had a lovely view from the hotel, and the room was nice too. Breakfast was tasty.
