Santa Maria Vetere

We had a great stay, and the welcome from everyone was warm. My boyfriend and I tried two different rooms, both spotless, tidy, modern, and fresh-smelling, just like the other rooms. The balcony looked out over Piazza Santa Maria Vetere, and the area was peaceful. It was easy to get around from here. There’s a pizzeria downstairs with good prices and fresh local ingredients, and the owners there are very kind. The main road is only 150 meters away, with little shops, supermarkets, bars, and bakeries. We walked to the historic center in 10 minutes and visited the B&B owner's confetti shop. We also had a meal at a local restaurant and really enjoyed it. The ring road made it easy to head toward the seafront or into the Apulian countryside and its inland villages. This isn't a bed and breakfast. The room is tiny, under 10m2, perhaps 8 or even 6, for two people, and there's no kettle or microwave. When we asked for a kettle, they offered a bottle warmer, but that's no use without a bottle. Worst of all, there's a motion-sensor camera between the bedroom and the toilet. I'll correct that after I reply.

The manager was very kind and helpful, the Wi-Fi worked well, and there was a minibar at a reasonable price. Rates are very competitive for this location. The place is fairly modern, but some parts still aren't finished. I hope they get completed soon, because that's what's keeping it from earning the fifth star.

The owner gave us a warm welcome, and the new building was very clean. I highly recommend it.
