B&B Re Perone

Claudio has made this B&B feel really special. There are three individually styled rooms, each with lots of attention to detail, and usually only six guests in total, so it feels private in a way that's hard to find. The terrace is a wonderful place for breakfast, with an incredible view over Lago d'Idro. Claudio is a great host, too, sharing restaurant and trip suggestions and helping make the stay special.

The rooms are really tidy and clean, and you can tell someone cares about the details. Claudio makes a terrific breakfast, with breathtaking views over the lake. For the money, I feel this place is hard to beat around Idro, even though it's the only one I've stayed at there. One thing that could be improved: the Rosa room, in the middle, has the fewest windows and can get pretty warm in summer. An AC would help.

Breakfast outside was even better than what I've had in a 4-star hotel, and the rooms were clean, with fresh towels brought several times. The owner is so friendly and welcoming that you really feel at home. It's a lovely B&B with a beautiful view of Lake Idro, a little paradise in Italy and a great base for exploring the lake.

Lake Idro is quiet and peaceful, a good choice if you'd rather avoid the tourist traps at Lake Garda. The B&B makes it easy to relax, with a beautiful view and lots of care in the rooms and shared areas. Claudio keeps everything to a high standard while still offering an affordable price. I'd gladly recommend a weekend here to unwind.
