Hotel al Lago

The hotel sits right by the lake, in a beautiful location, and we felt very comfortable there. Our renovated room was clean, breakfast was good, and the value for money was excellent. The hostess was warm and friendly. There's also a pizzeria and breakfast at the hotel. Just bear in mind there's no private beach; the beach is about 200 metres away.

We were pleasantly surprised by how friendly the hotel owner and her husband were. He runs a great kitchen, and the food was very good without being overpriced. Our room, number 10 on the third floor, was spotless and had everything we needed, including a kettle and tea. The mattresses were fantastic, and we slept well even during the thunderstorm. The garbage truck woke us early, but that's nobody's fault. They also immediately let us use the bike storage room for our high-quality bikes. Thanks for having us. We'd love to return!

The lakeside location is excellent, with a garden, tables, and panoramic views, and the staff were very friendly. Still, I can only give three stars. The restaurant dishes were decent but limited, and the menu was the same every day, with no variation. Breakfast didn't have much choice either. Cold cuts, yogurt, and butter were put out at 7:00 AM, so when we came down at 8:00 or 8:30, the yogurt was warm and the butter had melted. Also, guests came back at 1:00 or 2:00 AM shouting and talking as if it were daytime. It happened every night and we got very little sleep. I don't blame the owners for that, but it did affect our stay.

Dinner was a highlight, with homemade pasta and wood-fired pizza. Breakfast was perfectly fine, too. The hotel is right by the lake and has a beautiful garden. Our room was clean and very quiet, and the whole place was bright and spotless. There's also somewhere to store motorcycles.
