We felt at home at this comfortable, clean family-run hotel in beautiful Anghiari. The views were lovely and breakfast was great. The host made me the most delicious omelette I've ever had. I tried my best in basic Italian to get to know her and ask how she made it so fluffy and tasty. Her smile was priceless.

Room 222 had a balcony looking out over the medieval village, and the location is excellent for staying in this part of Tuscany. There are just a few drawers for clothes, though there's an open space to hang them. The bathroom is modern and roomy for the size of the room, but the shower is tight. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are all within a 1-5 minute walk, so you can get everywhere on foot.

Waking up to the view from our room was fantastic. This cosy, nice hotel beats city hotels hands down.

A fun, characterful old place, and the breakfast was excellent.

I knew there was a cancellation penalty, but people can get sick this time of year. My family was hit by the flu, and nearly everyone was stuck in bed, so we couldn't use the two rooms I'd booked for Saturday the 29th. Around noon that day, I called to explain. A woman answered, then passed me to someone in reservations, who told me to cancel through Booking.com. I did, and they still charged the full stay. They made €250, but lost a customer, and I'm telling people to stay away. Truly incredibly rude. TERRIBLE!
