A lovely, quiet spot out in the countryside 🥰

The landlord wouldn’t cancel the extra room after an accidental double booking, even though I asked right after making the reservation. I ended up paying for the second room in full. The house is only partly renovated, and we could hear planes at night.

That lobby on the way to the rooms is like a museum, you can get lost in it. We spent a week there on a business trip, and the place was gorgeous and really well kept. Our room was clean and comfortable, too. Mr. Soave is very friendly, and definitely someone worth having a chat with.

TOTAL DISORGANIZATION The trainers finished their course, and when one of the guests called, they were told there was no reservation and the property was full. I phoned and spent five minutes talking to a woman before she finally hung up in annoyance, telling me to find somewhere else. The trainer was beside me on speakerphone and said, “How rude!” after the call. This started on Monday, September 9, when I called to book for two trainers teaching a course there. I requested one double room with breakfast for one night, checking in September 14 and leaving September 15. We agreed on a price. I was told availability would be confirmed and asked to send their details by WhatsApp. I sent a message confirming what we’d discussed and included the guests’ details. On Tuesday, September 10, I got a WhatsApp asking which property I meant because they manage several. I probably should’ve asked more questions then, but I replied, “Angiari.” Days passed, and I thought it was all sorted. Since I still wasn’t very confident, I called the property on the morning of September 14 to check that the guests xxxxxx were confirmed for that evening. I was told yes, and asked to have them call 10-15 minutes before arrival. I know that booking by phone may be out of fashion now, but I couldn’t pay upfront, so I relied on calling. After two phone confirmations and sending the guests’ details over WhatsApp, I thought the booking had been received and registered. That clearly wasn’t what happened here. Great organization and kindness! Oh, that last line is ironic. I’m spelling it out because I think the point needs to be made clearly.
