Hotel Filey

I spent one night in the suite, a beautiful modern room with mountain touches. The service was attentive and breakfast was good. Dinner was good too, though I’d suggest updating some of the menu choices with a more modern twist. Excellent value overall.

Mrs. Irma cooks wonderfully, with really tasty food. It’s a relaxing place in either season, and a handy base for getting to the slopes at Cervinia or Torgnon.

The food was excellent, and they were happy to make the changes my children asked for. Mrs. Irma, the owner, is a LADY. Katia is my sweetheart, and Serena at reception was incredibly kind. The hotel made it easy for the kids to ski in Torgnon each day while my husband and I explored beautiful places. We’ll definitely return next year. See you soon. The hotel is lovely and welcoming, and the staff and owners are so kind. The rooms could use a little more heat, and it would be nice to have a fireplace in the relaxation area.

Mr. Ugo is a real showman, always ready with stories about the place and his life in the mountains. Spend an evening there and you’ll feel right at home. My wife and I first ate here in 2016 and loved it. When we came back in 2024, we hoped the management would be the same, and luckily the kindness, friendliness, and outstanding dishes hadn’t changed. The meal is generous and delicious: platters, focaccia with lard and moccetta, tagliatelle with ragù, Valdostana with potatoes, and a dessert of your choice. The focaccia alone is worth coming back for. With coffee and wine, it came to €37, more than we remembered but still fair. We’ll be back.
