Daniela House 3

Daniela House 4 is a real rip-off! We booked for one night in October, then the lady called an hour before check-in to cancel. Our daughter had a race at the Pala Rinaldi. She offered Daniela House 1 instead. 😱😱 That place was terribly damp, with a musty smell that burns your nostrils, uncomfortable beds, dirty dishes, dust everywhere, a ruined roof, and creaky stairs. The bathroom smelled bad, had no window or fan, and there was no drainage. Awful experience!!!! One star because zero isn’t possible!!!! 😡😡😡

The basement feels like a bunker, and it’s very damp with a musty smell. It’s over 3.5 meters high. The furnishings are new, but the bathroom is tiny and has neither a window nor even a fan. I don’t understand how they rent it out, and I’d be curious to know its cadastral category certification.

They cancelled my reservation on the 28th, just an hour before check-in, so I couldn’t stay at the property. I had booked and paid on March 6th. Don’t go there. The refund is supposed to arrive in the next few days, and now I have to find somewhere else to stay.

The layout makes the apartment feel claustrophobic, especially since it’s split over two levels. The lower floor, which was our living area, is entirely underground, while the upper one has small street-level windows with bars and fixed mosquito nets. I’d say it’s only suited to short stays, and not in the warmer months. The design and furnishings are undoubtedly meticulous, but there are faults, like many burned-out bulbs and bathrooms without windows or fans, or with fans that don’t work. I booked directly with the owner for the same price as Booking.com, sent half by bank transfer as a guarantee despite the unclear cancellation policy, and was asked for the rest in cash on arrival. I’ve asked three times for a receipt and still haven’t got one. Professionalism isn’t their strong point, in my opinion. Stefania
